RANA NEEDS A PREGNANT PAUSE Kate excitedly fills Johnny in on their trip to the clinic. Johnny’s thrilled at the prospect of another grandchild and Rana masks her anxiety. Rana bites the bullet and admits to Kate that she’s not happy at the idea of a complete stranger fathering their baby. Kate’s stunned. Michelle tentatively asks Robert if all Kate’s talk of babies has made him broody again. Robert covers and assures her he’s over it.
JENNY’S KEEPING TABS ON LIZ AND JOHNNY Johnny is sick of Rita being in the Rovers living room and says he is going to the Bistro for some peace and quiet. When Jenny sees on her app that Liz is also at the Bistro her suspicions are aroused. She bursts into the bistro - what will she find.

Roy treats Mary to afternoon tea in the bistro to celebrate Jude’s birthday and cheer her up. Mary paints on a smile as she surreptitiously reads an incoming text.

Jane Danson interview: Leanne knocked by Nick's news

How is Leanne recovering after being discharged from the hospital?

I think she’s got loads going on, Nicks back on the scene. There’s a lot to get to be getting on with. I think at first, she was putting on a bit of a brave face, to show everyone she is ok. I think she’s realised that she is quite vulnerable. Leanne needs that help, love and support. She’s struggling a little bit.

How did Leanne feel when she found out that both herself and Toyah were seeing Imran?

I don’t think anything surprises Leanne anymore. She’s been around the block a few times hasn’t she. I think Leanne was more upset about the fact her sisterhood was breaking down a little bit. Leanne and Toyah became very secretive. The two sisters got their revenge in a light hearted way, so Leanne was able to forgive Toyah. The one thing about Leanne is that she’s able to move on quite quickly.

With Leanne’s relationship ending with Imran the way it did? Do you think it’s the reason why Leanne has been drawn back to her ex?

I think there’s a continuity with Nick. They have a history and with that history there’s safety. Leanne feels like it’s easy with him and safe. I think given the fact that she was so seriously injured she feels she has that support in Nick. Nick knows Leanne, he’s seen her at her worst and at her best. A sign of true love I think.

When Leanne found out about Nick’s secret wife, how did she feel?

Initially Leanne was surprised. Once she is told that there isn’t any love there and Nick married her as a spur of the moment kind of thing. It reassures her, but Leanne tells Nick that they’ve got to be honest with each other if they are to move forward. It’s a case of can they move forward and will everything work out.

With Nick being back on the scene, are sparks flying between them?

I think they are quietly flickering away. Leanne is trying to suppress it because she doesn’t want to get hurt again. Nick walked out on her at a vulnerable time, but they’ve been sweethearts since teenagers. I think they will always have a love for each other.

How would Leanne feel if Toyah started seeing Imran again?

I don’t think she’d be massively bothered. I think Leanne has other things going on, but she would be a bit miffed if she didn’t tell her first. I’m sure Leanne would be able to get over it though.

Later, Nick meets with Elsa to discuss divorce proceedings and tells her he will pay her back if she keeps Leanne’s name out of the divorce proceedings. How is this going to affect Leanne and Nick?

I think that shows commitment from Nicks part. He’s ready to be with Leanne and sacrifice his financial situation and his business to be with her. I think he’s putting his neck on the line a little bit for her. That shows a bit more level of commitment than when he left last time.

Since Nick’s return it’s been nothing but drama for Leanne because of his secret life in Nottingham. Do you feel that Nick and Leanne can finally get their happily ever after this time round?

I hope so because I think each time you break up; the relationship dilutes a little bit more. Leanne and Nick have been on and off for such a long time, that hopefully they can build their relationship and raise Oliver together.

Katie McGlynn interview: Can Sinead hide her secret?

How has Sinead been coping since the cancer diagnosis?
She’s struggling because she is worried about her unborn child. Sinead is flirting with the idea of whether to have chemo or not. She’s raised it a few times but since then she’s keeping it to herself. She isn’t coping well at all.

How is Daniel and Sinead’s relationship now?
They are good with each other, they love each other dearly. Sinead feels that Daniel still holds a lot of resentment against her because she kept her cancer diagnosis from him in the first place. I think Daniel tries to put his anger towards Ken rather than Sinead. She’s still keeping a huge secret from him so it can cause a lot of tension for Sinead towards Daniel.

Now that Daniel knows the truth about Sinead’s cancer diagnosis, has Sinead been able to cope better?
She has been given a bit of relief since Daniel found out the truth, but she is still more worried about her unborn child. Daniel just wants Sinead to get better and originally, he wanted her to abort the child. So, throughout everything Sinead is just thinking about her child and what the right options are. Sinead feels she can’t talk to Daniel about her cancer because he wants her to be better, but she wants safety for her baby.

Sinead saw Ken hand Carla a wad of cash? How does Sinead feel when she finds out that Ken is the one paying for her therapy?
At first, she is shocked when she finds out Ken has been the one paying for her therapy. It’s also a nice moment for Sinead though because she realises she has people around her that care about her. It’s another stress for Sinead though because it’s another secret she must keep from Daniel because he thinks Carla has been paying for the treatment.

How are the lies catching up with Sinead? She is still lying to Daniel about having chemo. Why is Sinead still avoiding treatment and why can’t she tell Daniel?
Sinead is still avoiding treatment because she fears for the safety of her baby, she doesn’t want her child to come to any harm. Sinead feels she must hide it from Daniel because he’s going to think it’s a ridiculous idea. She doesn’t want to make Daniel angry or disappoint him because he cares about her health.

What happens at the factory when Daniel comes to collect Sinead for her chemo appointment?
Daniel offers to go with Sinead for her chemo appointment and he meets her at the factory, so they can go together. Sinead has no intention of going to a chemo appointment and with her lying to Daniel about having treatment she just snaps. She feels suffocated, everyone is trying to tell her what to do and model coddle her.

Sinead is consumed with guilt about the web of lies she’s been spinning. Why does Sinead feel she can confide in Billy?
I think she feels she can confide in Billy because of the nature of his character. He’s a Vicar
Sinead feels like she is running out of options and because Billy is a religious man, she feels she can get everything off her chest. Billy is the closest person to God, she hopes her prayers can be answered. Sinead is running out of options and it’s a last resort for her, she’ll try anything to make everything better. She confides in him because she feels she can trust him.

Sinead later finds out that Steff has been rushed to hospital. What does she do?
When Sinead finds out about Steff she goes into panic mode. She is instantly upset by the situation and rushes to the hospital to find out what’s going on.

Once Sinead finds out that Steff only has days to live, what do you think she is thinking?
Once Sinead finds out that Steff hasn’t got long left to live, she feels like she has messed up. She starts to feel she’s made the wrong decision. Sinead is distraught and thinks she’s made everything worse.

How do you think Sinead would feel if her secret was exposed?
I think she would be mortified, but in a way, I think it will be a huge relief for her. She is scared to tell Daniel, but I think deep down she wants him to know so they can sort it out. She’s confused though, she wants to focus on her child’s safety first. I think it’s the conversation she would have to have with Daniel that scares her.

Pregnancy shock for Coronation Street teen

I am loving the sound of this Coronation Street spoiler which is in The Sun today.

Amy Barlow is going to get pregnant.

Mr Curry Sauce tells The Sun: “Amy is seen sobbing her heart out, asking her granny Liz to help. Steve finds a pregnancy kit and tells Tracy about it and they both lose their rag. Tracy says she wants to kill the baby’s father. They demand an abortion and Amy agrees but changes her mind at the 11th hour.”
